A source in 2017 reported until 2016 Eminem paid around $200 million as the tax from 1996 to 2016. The same source claimed that until he was 25, his car insurance, bank accounts were handled by his mother.

Back in 1999, when he was rising as a rapper he was sued by his mother for $10 million for defaming her on Eminem’s The Slim Shady LP. But she received only $1,600 for the damages in 2001.

In 2001, he was sued with $1 million lawsuits by sanitation worker DeAngelo Bailey. The lawsuit charges were for invading privacy. In a song, Bailey was portrayed as a violent school bully. But as Bailey was found guilty of bullying Eminem, the case was dismissed in late 2003.

In the same year 2001, Eminem was sentenced one-year probation and charged $2,000 on weapon charges. Following a year in 2002, a lawsuit worth $10 million was field against him. A French pianist Jacques Loussier filed a case against Eminem and Dr. Dre claiming they stole the beats of ‘Kill You’ from his instrumental ‘Pulison’. They settled the case out of the court.

"Rapper "Eminem" Dies in Car Accident. Multi-platinum artist Marshall Mathers, known by the stage name "Eminem", was killed at 2:30 AM EST while driving a rental car on his way to a late-night party. Mathers, who authorities believe was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, was behind the wheel of a Saturn coupe that witnesses say swerved to avoid a slow-moving vehicle, then lost control and slammed into a grove of trees.

The car was crumpled by the impact, making extraction of Mather's body very difficult. He was declared dead on the scene by paramedics who arrived a short time later. Authorities would not comment on details surrounding the accident other than to confirm the identity of the victim. Mathers was 26."

The whole world went crazy when the news of him being dead, went viral. Later on, Eminem's representatives issued a statement about the rumor.

The rumor, however, appeared again in 2006. This time it became crazier when they talked about Illuminati clone. According to the rumor, Eminem was already dead and the one who was with us was his doppelgänger.

Similarly, in 2013, again the news of Eminem's near-death incident went viral. As per the Facebook post: "Rapper Eminem left nearly DEAD after being stabbed 4 times in NYC!". Later his representative denied the allegation stating: "Not true. He remains unstabbed."
