Three times Grammy Award-winning musician, Neil Young is a Canadian folk-rock singer and a guitarist. He is popular for his albums like Harvest, Harvest Moon and After The Gold Rush. Some of his hit songs are titled Old Man, Heart of Gold, and Hey Hey My My.

On his arrival to California, he co-founded his first band, Buffalo Springfield, with bandmates Richie Furay and Stephen Stills. He left the band to join Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1969 as their fourth member.

After spending some years with the band he eventually left it to start his solo career and released his first debut album, Neil Young, in 1969.

He has been the music industry for over 59 years and has released 40 studio albums, 8 live albums, and 3 compilation albums.

Back in 2015, young listed is house in Hawaii for $24.5 million. The property was later sold in 2018 for the price of $24.5 million.

Young is of Canadian nationality and his ethnicity is white. As a young boy, he suffered from polio. He has an elder brother named Robert 'Bob' Young and a sister called Astrid Young.

He briefly attended Chisholm Elementary School in Florida. Neil then studied at Earl Grey Junior High School and later transferred to the Kelvin High School.

Relationships and Spouse

The 73-years-old singer has been married thrice and divorced once. He is married to his third wife Daryl Hannah, an actress and director. They started their relationship in 2014 and married on 25th August 2018 in California. The marriage was official after Neil released a video on 31st October 2018.

He was previously married to a restaurant owner, Susan Acevedo since 1968. The pair was together until Susan filed for divorce and they legally separated in October 1970.

Young met his second spouse Pegi Young in 1974 while she was serving as a waitress close to his ranch, a story which Young told in his song Unknown Legend. They married in 1978 and have two children together Amber and Ben.

Neil filed for a divorce on 29th July 2014, after 36 years of their married life. Pegi Young died on 1st January 2019.

Apart from that, he was in a relationship with Carrie Snodgress with whom he shares a son named Zeke (1972). He has also dated Lucinda Williams and Pam Courson.
